Ohio Bill of Sale

In Ohio, it is advisable that a bill of sale is completed when selling or buying a motor vehicle. While you can transfer the car to another by presenting the vehicle’s certificate of origin, using a Ohio bill of sale will probably save you some time. The Ohio Division of Driver Licensing provides a standard bill of sale form, on which should be included: the date the car was sold, the amount for which it was purchased, the names and addresses of both the buyer and the seller, the vehicle’s make, model and year, its vehicle identification number (VIN) and any liens associated with the ownership of the vehicle.
